Group Urges ACA To Investigate Alleged Graft In Judiciary

KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 (Bernama) -- A group called the Democracy and Anti-Corruption Movement Friday lodged a report with the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) asking it to investigate alleged corruption in the Judiciary.The report was handed to ACA official Mohamed Tarmize Abdul Manaf at 3pm at the ACA's branch here by the movement's executive coordinator Badrul Hisham Shaharin.Badrul told reporters that the report was based on a newspaper report on June 11 which quoted former High Court judge Datuk Syed Ahmad Idid Syed Abdullah as alleging there was abuse of power and corruption within the Judiciary.He called on the relevant authorities to investigate the allegations by Syed Ahmad.-- BERNAMA
