Yg Dihormati Bapak Presiden Indonesia,
Ayuh masyarakat sivil ASEAN bersatu menangani masalah bersama.

Dear Mr. President of Indonesia;
VERY DISAPPOINTED TO BECOME AN ANNUAL HAZE EVENT.
We, through the Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM), a youth movement and allies in Malaysia would like to to express profound regret over the incident or phenomenon. Haze is an annual event and this year it gets worse.
We wish to state that the haze has brought a negative impact to the economy of the country and affect the productivity of the industrial sector, tourism, agriculture, fisheries and other commercial activities.
We also wish to express people's concerns over the impact of haze on health and well-being of our people throughout the country. Schools are also closed, and not a few who needed treatment.
We demand that the Indonesian government overcome the haze of our country almost every year and at this time the effect is deeply disturbing.
We reject the cliché answer that is repeatedly spoken of action taken whenever the embattled Haze. If action is taken seriously and the Indonesian government identified this problem does not recur every year and already many years.
We are very concerned that there are allegations against the Malaysian-owned plantation companies responsible for burning the fields that triggered the problem. But we do not deny the existence of the company concerned from Malaysia or Malaysian. We wanted it to be disclosed, and we certainly do not hesitate to take legal action - legal and social penalties on the companies and individuals involved.
Malaysia also requested the government to seriously address this issue. People are fed up every time there’s a problem of Haze came out, usual script of their repeated discussions, the joint action, there’s a MoU’s but until now no results even worse situation that Malaysian facing every year without solution from both parties.
We invite Indonesian civil society for our mutual cooperation of civil society levels as the haze problem also needs to be seen as a failure of both governments and the lack of firmness taken to the greedy capitalist. Such investors, the authorities continued to dominate the throne but people will continue to suffer every year if we cannot handle it.
Come on civil society of Asean, let us unite to deal with this problem together.
